Ren Ruggiero, MPH, CHES has enjoyed a career in healthcare for over two decades. Ren received a Masters degree in Public Health with a specialization in Mental Health from National University. She is also a nationally Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) demonstrating proficiency in program planning, implementation, and evaluation. 

Some of Ren's areas of expertise include mental health and addictions treatment, HIV and infectious diseases, women's health, and diabetes prevention. She has extensive experience in behavioral health case management and rehabilitation counseling as well as peer support and education. She is also a skilled writer and content creator. Ren likes to say, "If I can research it, I can write about it!" She has written a variety of articles for medical blogs on topics ranging from dental care to autoimmune disorders. Ren's passion for learning fuels her ongoing desire to tackle new topics in healthcare.

When she's not geeking out about public health, Ren can be found relaxing with her cat and Chihuahua, kayaking the beautiful rivers and lakes of South Carolina, and working on her vampire novel.
